I just received the ring and wanted to express my gratitude at the wonderful experience I have had dealing with you all. Your professionalism and attention to detail is rare, but it's the personable and human interaction that really sets you apart. I never once felt like I was just another customer, a big thumbs up.

I loved the presentation. Inconspicuous blue box surrounding a stylish smaller box. Just enough branding to let you know, this is something truly special. The ring itself has exceeded all my expectations. I chose 1791 because your ring designs where stylish but understated at the same time, exuding class but never shouting too loud about it. The craftsmanship has to be applauded, dare I say even outdoing the CAD images.

The diamond sparkles, boy does it sparkle, even in normal lighting. I can't take my eyes off it. In a word, WOW!

Once again, I can't thank you enough. Now it's up to me do this ring justice with an amazing proposal. Though to be honest, it doesn't seem fair; I feel like I have a secret weapon with this baby in my hands. Can't wait to see her reaction.

My fiance put a great deal of effort into finding the 'perfect' engagement ring for me and it was clear to him that it should be handmade. While solitaire diamond rings are a popular choice for engagement rings, and round brilliants a particular favourite largely due to their fantastic fire and brilliance, the 1791 Solitaire is set apart by its stylish six claw setting.

The ring setting is an important consideration when selecting your ideal style of diamond engagement ring and should not be overlooked. One advantage of a six claw setting over a four claw setting is that the diamond is held more securely. At the same time, having more claws means that the individual claws can be finer, more delicate and less intrusive; whereas the four claw setting usually requires each claw to be slightly thicker to ensure the diamond is held securely in place.

You have a choice of metals for the Olympia's ring band: 18kt yellow gold, 18kt white gold or platinum. There's very little price difference between the two types of gold but platinum does increase the overall cost of your ring as it is a more expensive metal than gold. By all means base your choice on aesthetic appeal, you may simply prefer the natural look of yellow gold, but also keep in mind that platinum is the most hard wearing of these metals and is also hypo-allergenic.
