At 1791 Diamonds we are passionate about designing beautiful diamond engagement rings. Our designers, master jewellers, diamond setters, and even the gold foundry we use, are all in New Zealand.

Our Promise

All our diamonds come from sources that adhere to the "no conflict" Kimberley Process;

The diamonds in our collections are all high quality learn more;

We prove it by including an independent certificate for pretty much all diamonds, eg over 0.3 carat in size learn more;

We only use solid 18kt New Zealand  gold or platinum learn more;

We always state the minimum Centre-stone-carat-weight as well as the minimum Total-carat-weight. Learn more;

Our designs are unique to 1791. Even when we use famous designers, we insist on exclusivity;

The Team

Charlotte Black looks after customer enquiries and receives all ring orders. The Customer Service team consisting of Erika and Ryan will ensure all rings are made to the highest standards and delivered on time. Alice Herald is the head designer and is also responsible for product quality. The team is headed by Richard Prout BSc, who has over 20 years experience running companies.

Qualifications and Expertise

Our Product Manager has a degree in jewellery design from one of the world's more famous art colleges: St Martin's in London, UK. She has passed the Gemmological Society of Australia's Diamond Graders course.

1791 Diamonds Ltd is a member of the Jewellers & Watchmakers Association of New Zealand.
