Our Designer
1791’s Product Manager, Alice Herald, qualified in 2002 with a BA Honours Degree in Jewellery Design from Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design in London, UK. During her degree, Alice worked for Benney, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths to Queen Elizabeth II, where she managed the Knightsbridge showroom, working to deliver top quality jewellery and silverware to clients. Alice has also worked alongside jewellers and fashion designers, and her jewellery has walked the catwalks of London Fashion week. Now, as 1791’s Product Manager and jewellery designer, Alice has clear design philosophies:
New Zealand Made
We make our product entirely in New Zealand and seek out New Zealand's talented jewellers and craftspeople to collaborate with; this is integral to our company values of supporting local business.
Contemporary and Traditional Designs
We respect tradition and recognise timeless style is something not to be altered on a whim, therefore we have established designs as well as more unique contemporary jewellery that follows current trends.
Quality of Materials
All of our designer engagement rings and wedding bands use only high quality diamonds chosen to perform well in New Zealand conditions. As well as platinum, we use 18 carat New Zealand gold, to complement and enhance your diamonds.
Guaranteed
We offer independent diamond certification and jewellery appraisals as evidence of the quality of our product. Even so, if you are not entirely satisfied with your ring, you may return it to us within 14 days of delivery. Please see our terms and conditions for further information about our return policy.
