Alice Herald - Jewellery Designer
The 1791 Signature Collection was designed by Alice Herald. She drew inspiration from the awe-inspiring landscape of New Zealand as well as the character of the people who have chosen this as their home. Alice currently lives in Lake Hawea, near Wanaka and Queenstown, in the South Island, in among the crystal clear lakes, glistening rivers and snow capped mountains that characterise that area. Alice has a BA in fine jewellery from Central St Martin's in London, one of the world's leading art colleges.

1791 Diamond Quality
The 1791 Signature Collection only uses diamonds with Excellent or Very Good cut grades and D - F colour grades. The charts below explain what these grades mean. A well-cut diamond reflects most of the light entering the diamond back through the table, which is what gives it that enchanting sparkle, known in the industry as fire and brilliance. This is what sets our diamonds apart from those you will find in the average jeweller's products.
