Alice Herald has designed several exciting collections for 1791 Diamonds. She lives in the South Island among the beautiful lakes and mountains. She studied jewellery design at St Martin's in London, and worked for a number of prestigious jewellers there.
She is currently designing the first prize eternity band for this year's Bride of the Year in NZ Bride and Groom, and her previous work has featured in Vogue.
Designer Rings

The three-stone engagement ring featured on this page incorporates a larger central diamond and two side stones. This gorgeous designer ring is available in either yellow or white 18kt gold and has 1 total carat weight of diamonds. The centre stone is 0.6 carats and the two side stones are 0.2 carats each. A 0.6 carat diamond, at approximately 5.5mm across, is quite a large, impressive stone. All our diamonds are Excellent or Very Good cut, which ensures they really sparkle, and are at the top of the colour grading scale - D to F, referred to as colourless diamonds.

Carat Weight
The weight of a diamond is measured in carats. One carat is 200 milligrams. The chart below provides an approximate mm size for diamonds of particular weight. To learn more about carat weight please read our Buyers' Guide.
Diamond Colour
The 3-stone engagement ring shown on this page, and in fact our entire Signature Collection, only includes diamonds in the D-F colour range which are regarded as the very top colour grades. Only Excellent or Very Good cut grades are used - the very brightest and and most beautiful diamonds.
